Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the Staterespondents.
The present petition has been filed seeking the following relief:
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to treat the petitioner as medically fit in the medical examination conducted by the Medical Board at Reserve Police Lines, Meerut and re-medical examination conducted by the Regional Medical Board, Meerut.
(ii) Issue a writ order or direction in the name of mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of police constable in pursuance of advertisement dated 29.12.2015 for selection on the post of police constable for male candidates direct recruitment2015 issued by the Additional Secretary, (Recruitment) Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow."
The contention of counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner has been declared medically unfit on account of disease of the ear of petitioner. There is nothing on record to enable this Court to interfere in exercise of power under Article 226 of Constitution of India.
The writ petition lacks merit and is, accordingly, dismissed .
