The petitioner claims himself to be Principal of an institution. It is claimed by him that consequent to allotment of an examination centre for its students at a far away place inconvience would be caused and therefore representation has been made in that regard.
Learned Standing Counsel, who represents the Board, has informed the Court that already final list of examination centres has been published and therefore it would not be appropriate to change examination centre at a belated stage, when the examinations are to commence from 1st week of February, 2018
Ordinarily, examination centres are fixed well in advance to ensure that there are no last minute complications in holding the examination. Even otherwise, no institution can claim as of right that it be appointed Examination Centre.
There is no specific averment in the writ petition that any other examination centre close by has been notified which can be conveniently used by the students of petitioner's institution.
Under the circumstances, when it is reported that examinations are to commence from 1st week of February, 2018, no relief can be granted to the petitioner at such a belated stage. The petition is dismissed .
