Section 88. Powers to make regulations by the Board

(1) The Board may, with the previous sanction of the Government, make regulations consistent with this Act or the rules made there under, for carrying out its functions under this Act. (2) No regulation or its cancellation or modification shall have effect until the same have been approved by the Government. (3) The Government may, by notification, rescind any regulation made under this section and, thereupon, the regulation shall cease to have effect. (4) All regulations made under this Act shall be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette and unless they are expressed to come into force on a particular day, shall come into force on the day on which they are so published.
