Mr. Pradeep Hairiya, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. Heard learned counsel for the parties. Petitioners were students of Secondary Schools affiliated to C.B.S.E. They were denied permission to participate in the sports events conducted by School Games Federation of India on the ground that they are students of Schools, which are affiliated to C.B.S.E. and not to the State Board. Thus, feeling aggrieved, they filed this writ petition. A Co-ordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 07.09.2017 directed the Competent Authority to permit the petitioners to participate in the sports events conducted by School Games Federation of India. This writ petition was filed 2017 and the relief clause also reveals that permission was sought only for the sports events held during 2017, which is over long back.
