According to the petitioners, they

served as Aapda Mitra during Covid-19
Pandemic in District Haridwar, however,
they were not paid any remuneration for
the services they rendered.

By
means
of
this
writ
petition,

petitioners
have
sought
the
following
reliefs: -
“(i) Issue writ, order or direction
in the nature of mandamus directing
the respondent authorities to release
salaries in favour of the aforesaid
petitioners for their services rendered
with TA & DA.
(ii) Issue any other writ, order or
direction which this Hon’ble Court
deems fit and proper in the facts and
circumstances of the case.
(iii)
Award cost of the writ
petition to the petitioner.”

which is Annexure No.5 which is a letter
dated 08.06.2020 issued by District
Magistrate, Haridwar to Secretary, Disaster Management. Learned Senior Advocate for the
petitioners has confined his prayer that
since District Magistrate has already recommended the case of the petitioners
to the State Government, therefore,
direction may be issued to the State
Government to take decision on the
recommendation. Learned Standing Counsel submits
that he has no objection, if such direction is issued. Accordingly, the writ petition is
disposed of by permitting the petitioners to make representation to Secretary, Disaster Management, highlighting their grievance,
within two weeks from today. If such
representation is made within the
stipulated period, decision thereupon shall
be taken within a period of ten weeks’
