Petition under Article 226 of lhe Constitution of lndia praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to issue an order direction or a writ one in the nature of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not paying the compensation in pursuance of the acquisition of the properties of the petitioner under Award Enquiry Notice bearing Rc.No.A/1661/86 dt. 21.03.1987 of the 2nd respondent, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently (i) direct the respondents to pay the compensalion to the petitioners forthwith along with interest at 18Yo per annum from the actual date on which the petitioners have been entitled to (ii) giving liberty to the petitioners to approach appropriate forum for making claim as to enhancement of the compensation, in the context of the case, if neceQsary.
