The present petition has been filed against the order dated 10.12.2021 whereby the petitioner was put under suspension and the disciplinary inquiry was initiated against him.
A reply to the petition has been filed and it has been submitted that the petitioner has now superannuated and therefore, the petition has now rendered infructuous.
However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although his second prayer no more survives, his first prayer with the relief for directing the respondent authorities to complete the disciplinary inquiry within a specified period does survive.
As the petitioner has now superannuated, no cause in the present petition survives. The writ petition is therefore disposed of with the direction to the respondent authorities to complete the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner pursuant to

the memorandum dated 22.12.2021 (Annexure-5) within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the present order. The stay application also stands disposed of.
