All parties to an appeal before the National Lok Adalat consented to an enhancement of the compensation awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal. The award was modified to include an additional sum of Rs.3,92,000 payable by the insurance respondent, with further provisions for interest and disbursement, leading to the disposal of the appeal via settlement.

The MACT,Bikaner by its judgment and award dated 03.02.2020 in MAC Case No. 23512010 awarded a sum of Rs.8,60,9651- along with interest @ 7% per annum.

With the consent of the parties, the impugned award dated 03.02.2020 is further enhanced by Rs.3,92,000/- in favour of the claimant(s)/appellant(s) as a full and final settlement of the case. The amount so agreed shall be deposited by the respondent Insurance Company with the Tribunal within a period of two months from today failing which, the same shall carry interest @ 7.5% per mum from the date of this order till actual realization. The enhanced amount of compensation be disbursed in terms of the award in the saving bank account of the claimant(s). The award impugned dated 03.02.2020 is modified accordingly.

In view of the above, the appeal is disposed of.

The Registry is directed to send back the record forthwith.
