By way of the present contempt petition, the petitioner has sought punishment of the respondent/contemnors for alleged violation of order dated 30.05.2012, passed by this Court in SB Civil Writ Petition No.5633/2012.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that though vide order dated 30.05.2012, the respondents were directed not to declare the result without permission of the Court, they have declared the result on 04.06.2012 and 03.04.2016.
Without commenting upon as to whether a willful disobedience has been made or not, this Court is not inclined to entertain the present contempt petition as the allegation(s) of violation of order dates back to June, 2012 and April, 2016.
Present petition has been filed after expiry of more than six years/two years of the alleged breach. The petitioner cannot seek punishment of the respondent/contemnors under the provisions of Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, in view of limitation of one year prescribed in Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.
For the reasons aforesaid, the contempt petition is dismissed.
