Instant petition has been preferred under Section 482 read with Section 483 Cr.P.C. praying therein that a direction be issued to the Court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, No.6, Jaipur Metropolitan Jaipur, to conclude the trial arising out of Criminal Case No.654/2008, titled as State Vs. Laurance Peter & Others, within stipulated period.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the impugned F.I.R. was lodged in the year, 2006, the charge-sheet was submitted before the trial Court on 04.01.2007 and thereafter, on 15.01.2007 cognizance for offence was taken against the petitioner. Counsel has further submitted that the petitioner is in the corridors of the Court for last more than eleven years and the trial has not made headway.

After hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, the

present petition is disposed of, by issuing direction to the trial Court to conclude the trial arising out of above said criminal case within a period of one year from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
