The present petition has been filed alleging violation of order dated 23. 0 7.2024 (Annexure P-1) passe d by a Division Bench of this Court in C WP-4868-2018 titled as ‘Mad a n Lal vs. State of Punjab and others’, w h ereby it was directed as follows:-

“That being so, lear n ed counsel for the petitioner submits that let this petition b e disposed of, for the present, to enable the parties to conte s t the revision. However, in the given circumstances, he subm i ts that the Revisional Authority be directed to decide the m atter within a specified time. Further, after the matter i s decided by the Revisional Authority, the party aggrieve d by the order so passed, shall be at liberty to avail such o t her remedies, as admissible in law.

In response, learned S tate counsel submits that the matter shall be decided withi n a period of three months from today.”
