The grievance of the petitio n er, essentially, appears to be that being a p u blic spirited person, the petitioner is disturbed by various n ews items whi c h appeared in newspaper(s) th a t mode of auctioning/betting t o fill up variou s offices in the Gram Panchayats is taking place in the Stat e of Punjab d u ring election process at G r am Panchayat level which has commenced vide notification dated 27.09. 2 024 (Annexure P-2). 4. Since the process of election is conducted under the auspic e s of the State E lection Commission, it woul d be appropriate that the petiti o ner raises her g rievance before the State Election Commissioner, Punjab, w h o is supervisin g the process of elections of Gra m Panchayat(s). 5. A representation dated 30.09. 2 024 (Annexure P-4) has been m ade in this reg a rd to the Chief Electoral Office r , Punjab. 6. This Court declining inte r ference on merits relegates the petitioner t o the State Election Commissi o ner, Punjab, who shall conside r the grievance o f the petitioner as expeditiousl y as possible.
