Through this petition, the pe t itioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 309 d a ted 24.09.2020 (Annexure P-1 ) registered under Sections 363 and 366-A IPC at Police Station Goindw a l Sahib, District Tarn Tarn and all subseq u ent proceedings arising therefro m .
At the very outset, learned c o unsel for the State has filed a copy of d e ath certificate dated 08.02.202 3 of the petitioner and submits that the in s tant petition has been rendere d infructuous, as the petitioner has expired on 28.12.2022. The copy o f death certificate is taken on record.
Learned counsel for the p e titioner has not disputed the aforesaid submission of learned counsel f o r the State and submits that the instant pet i tion has been rendered infructu o us and may be disposed of, as such.
In view of the above, the ins t ant petition stands disposed of, as having b een rendered infructuous.
