Learned counsel for the State has filed the additional affidavit dated 11.4.2013 of Dr.S.Karuna Raju, Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab, in the Court today, which is permitted to be placed on record and copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner.
Learned counsel for the State, while referring to the order dated 10.4.2013 (Annexure R-2) passed by the Director, Department of Rural Development and Panchayats, Punjab, submits that the appropriate action has already been taken against respondent No.7 rendering the present writ petition as infructuous.
Faced with the above, learned counsel for the petitioner very fairly states that in view of the order dated 10.4.2013 (Annexure R-2),

having been passed by the competent authority, the instant writ petition may be disposed of, as having been rendered infructuous, but liberty may be granted to the petitioner to pursue his remedy, in accordance with law.
In view of the above statements made by learned counsel for the parties, the present writ petition is ordered to be disposed of, as infructuous, however with liberty as prayed for.
