The prayer in this application is to refer this case along with other connected cases to the Committee constituted by this Court vide order dated 17.10.2012, passed in a bunch of writ petitions including

CWP No. 12433 of 2011 (Nasib Singh Vs. State of Punjab and others).

Suffice it would be to notice that the petitioners are the residents of village Lambian, Tehsil Kharar, District Mohali and they are

CM No. 6627 of 2013 and CWP No. 15987 of 2009 -2-

seeking allotment of alternative sites/residential plots in terms of Special Rehabilitation Policy dated 1.6.2001, which pertains to the rehabilitation of residents of village Lambian.

Vide our order dated 17.10.2012, passed in the above-stated bunch of writ petitions, we constituted a Committee comprising (i) the Secretary-cum-Legal Remembrancer to Government of Punjab (Chairman); (ii) Chief Administrator, GMADA (Member) and (iii) the Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), SAS Nagar, Mohali (Member), to determine the claim of similarly placed residents of village Lambian. It is stated that the said Committee is still seized with the matter. Keeping these facts in view, we dispose of this application as well as the main petition with liberty to the petitioner to submit his claim before the above-mentioned Committee within a period of two weeks. The respondents shall also be at liberty to counter the petitioner's claim by way of their written submissions. The Committee shall then consider and determine the claim of the petitioner in the light of guidelines/directions already made in the main order dated 17.10.2012. The Committee shall consider the claim of the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of submission of claim.
