Feeling aggrieved against the alleged inaction on the part of respondent(authorities, petitioner has approached this Court by way of instant writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent(authorities to restore the telephone connection.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in view of the nature of prayer made and also due to efflux of time, coupled with the modern technology in the field of electronics, the cause of action would not survive in favour of the petitioner and the present writ petition has become infructuous which may be disposed of as
