Petitions are allowed. FIR No. FIR No. 121 dated June 17, 2012 under Sections 452, 427, 336, 506, 148, 149 IPC read with Sections 27, 54, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Sadar, Tarn Taran and FIR No. 119 dated June 17, 2012 under Sections 341, 427, 323, 506, 148, 149 IPC registered at Police Station Tarn Taran and all the criminal proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed subject to petitioners in both the cases depositing a sum of Rs.10000/- each with Punjab State Legal Services Authority and a sum of Rs.5000/- each with Punjab Police Welfare Fund, Sector 9, Chandigarh, within a period of one month. It is clarified that petitioners Sawinder Singh and others will deposit a total sum of Rs.10000/- with Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Sector 22 and another sum of Rs.5000/- with Punjab Police Welfare Fund, Sector 9, Chandigarh within a period of one month. Similarly, petitioners Jaswant Singh and others will deposit a total sum of Rs.10000/- with Punjab State Legal Services Authority, Sector 22 and another sum of Rs.5000/- with Punjab Police Welfare Fund, Sector 9, Chandigarh within a period one month.
