On 3.5.2013, the following order was passed by this Court:

“ Instant petition has been filed seeking protection of life and liberty of the petitioners from respondents No. 4 and 5. The petitioners assert that they are major and as there is no legal impediment, they have got married. They have already moved representation dated 02.05.2013 (Annexure P-5) to respondent no.2 – Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, for protecting their life and liberty.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, after seeking instructions from petitioner no.2 states that in order to show his bonafide, petitioner no.2 will deposit a sum of Rs. Two lacs in the form of FDR for three years in favour of petitioner no.1. Initially, petitioner no.2 will deposit a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- in the form of FDR for three years in favour of petitioner no.1 within seven days. The remaining sum of Rs.1,00,000/- will be deposited in the form of FDR for three years in her name within six months thereafter and intimation in this regard shall

be sent to this Court. An affidavit of petitioner no.2 dated 03.05.2013 has been filed in Court which is taken on record. Notice of motion for 13.05.2013.

In the meanwhile, liberty is granted to the petitioners to approach respondent no.2 – Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, for protection as per instructions dated 18.8.2010 issued by the Home Department, Punjab. Petitioners may not be arrested and adequate security be provided to them, if required. ”

Petitioner No.2 states that in compliance of the order dated 3.5.2013, he has deposited an amount i.e ` 1 lac in the form of FDR for three years in favour of petitioner no.1. A photocopy of receipt, filed in Court, is taken on record. He, however, expressed his inability to deposit another sum of Rs.1.00 lac due to paucity of funds. In view of the above, he is absolved of his undertaking as regards the deposit of another sum of Rs.1.00 lac in the form of FDR in favour of petitioner No.1 is concerned.

Keeping in view the above, the order dated 3.5.2013 is made
