The grievance of the petitioner in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is as respondents No.5 to 13 are interfering in the free and legal business of the petitioner and accordingly a writ of mandamus be issued directing respondents No.1 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondents No.5 to 13.

applications on 12.07.2010 and 13.07.2010 to the then Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Malerkotla respectively, which were inquired through the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division, Amargarh and a report dated 22.08.2010 was submitted wherein it was recorded that a compromise had been effected with the Management of Dashmesh Truck Union, Kup Kalan; besides, Sh. Balbir Singh, President, Truck Union, Kup Kalan, made a statement that there was a compromise between both the parties and, therefore, no action was required to be taken on the applications which were filed before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur. Copies of the compromise and the statement of the petitioner have been appended as Annexures R- 2/T and R-3/T respectively along with the written statement filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4, wherein, it has been stated as under:-
“ After passing the order dated 4.4.2011, I have no apprehension from Tara Singh, President, Lal Singh, Munshi and others of the Truck Union, Kup Kalan against whom I filed the above said writ petition. Now, I am free to take the vehicle from any where on my free will for sending the machinery. Now, I am not being harassed by the President, Munshi and other Operators of the above said Truck Union nor they are forcing me for taking the vehicle from their union and I can take the vehicle from where I want. My business is going on smoothly without any kind of obstruction.”
