same to be Rs.7,80,000/- initiated action under section 47-A of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (in short, “the Act”) on account of having affixed deficient stamp duty and the matter was referred to the Collector. The Collector vide order dated 12.9.2007, Annexure P.3 after referring to the Collector rate in respect of the land in dispute came to the conclusion that the market value of the land was Rs.7,80,000/- on which lesser amount of stamp duty and registration fee had been affixed. The said order was challenged in appeal before the Commissioner who vide order dated 9.8.2011, Annexure P.5 agreed with the findings recorded by the Collector. Hence this petition.
