This petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing of FIR No.108 dated 16.5.2012, registered under sections 458/323/34 IPC, at Police Station Rajpura City, District Patiala and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise arrived at between the parties.

The parties are present in person. They are duly identified by their respective counsels. The complaint states that he does not want to pursue the FIR case before the trial Court as the matter stands amicably settled between the parties and a compromise in this regard has been placed on record as Annexure P-2. The complainant also submits that the compromise between

the parties has been effected voluntarily and without any pressure or coercion.

In view of above, no useful purpose would be served by allowing these criminal proceedings to continue. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the present case and in view of the law laid down by the Full Bench of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and others vs. State of Punjab, 2007(3) RCR (Crl.) 1052 , this petition is allowed and FIR No.108 dated 16.5.2012, registered under sections 458/323/34 IPC, at Police Station Rajpura City, District Patiala and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, are hereby quashed.
