The present writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying that a writ, in the nature of Habeas Corpus, be issued and Poonam, wife of the petitioner, be got released from the unlawful custody of her mother Raj Rani, respondent No.4.
Pursuant to the order dated 12.12.2011, Poonam is present in Court. She has been identified by Jaswinder Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector, Police Station Pinjore. She has admitted her marriage with the petitioner but has stated that she, on her own accord, is residing with her mother and does not intend to accompany the petitioner.
