A complaint was received by the Registry of this Court from Baljit Kaur and the same has been treated as a Criminal Writ Petition. It is stated therein that on 16.11.2011, the Station House Officer, Police Station City, Tarn Taran, had taken her real brother Jagjit Singh into custody.
Today, Jagjit Singh, alleged detenue, is present in Court along with his family members. He has been identified by Inspector Dilbag Singh, Station House Officer, Police Station City, Tarn Taran. He has stated that he has never been picked up by the police and is residing happily along with his family at his native place.
