A telegram was received by this Court from Baldev Singh and the same has been treated as Criminal Writ Petition, wherein it is stated that Satgur Singh, son of the petitioner, has been unlawfully detained by the police of Police Station City, Sangrur.
Mr. Mehardeep Singh, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from Pritpal Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector, submits that Satgur Singh was arrested on 17.7.2010 and thereafter he was produced before the Illaqa Magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody. He further submits that the report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. has been submitted in the case wherein son of the petitioner was arrested.
