The petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of an FIR No. 233 dated 9.11.2005 under Sections 365/34 IPC, registered at Police Station Sadar, Dadri, District Bhiwani.
The aforesaid FIR was registered on the complaint made by respondent No.4, who is the father of Neeraj Bhanker and uncle of Rinku. It is the case of the petitioners that both the petitioners have performed marriage with Neeraj Bhanker and Rinku, respectively. It has further been contended that both the girls are major and have also made a statement before the police in this regard.
Counsel for the respondent-State states that keeping in view the statement made by both the girls, the police has already prepared a cancellation report and the same will be soon presented before the Court.
In view of the aforesaid factual position, counsel for the petitioners states that he does not want to press this petition.
Dismissed as not pressed.
However, in case, the cancellation report is not accepted, it will be open for the petitioners to approach again.
