2. Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

3 . Petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:-

“It is, therefore, prayed that the Hon'ble Court may be graciously pleased to admit the writ petition and issue Rule NISI calling upon the Opp. Parties to show cause as to why interest as admissible in accordance with Rule shall not be granted to the petitioner on the entire sum of retired dues paid to the petitioner after a delay of about five years of his retirement and if the Opp. Parties fail to show cause, the Hon'ble Court may be pleased to allow the writ petition and direct the Opp. Parties, particularly, Opp. Party No. 1 to grant interest on pension and other retiral dues of the petitioner for the period from 01.10.2020 (the date from which the amount became

due) till 14.05.2025 (the date of actual disbursement of final dues of Gratuity);

And pass such other order/orders as the Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.”

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that through highlighting his grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation vide Annexure-7 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Opposite Party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Opposite Party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted representation in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

6. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
