2. Heard learned counsel appearing for the Parties.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner produced copy of the order dtd.26.02.2026 so passed by the Collector, Kandhamal, Phulbani in Court. The same be kept in record.

4. Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner contended that the impugned order of reversion in the meantime has been recalled vide order dtd.26.02.2026. However, it is contended that on the face of the interim order passed by this Court, Petitioner though discharged his duty in the promotional post, but he has not been extended with the salary as due and admissible.

5. Learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State on the other hand contended that since the impugned order has been recalled, the writ petition has become infructuous.

6. Having heard learned counsel appearing for the Parties, considering the submissions made and the fact that the impugned order has been recalled vide order dtd.26.02.2024, it is the view of this Court that the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

6.1 . However, since in terms of the interim order passed by this Court on 02.02.2026, Petitioner was allowed to continue in the promotional post and the said order of promotion has now been upheld vide order dtd.26.02.2026, this Court directs Opposite Party No.2 to release the salary of the Petitioner as due and admissible within a period of two(2) weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

7. Accordingly, all the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

8. Photocopy of the said order be placed in other connected Writ Petitions.
