1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned counsel for the State. Perused the writ petition as well as documents annexed thereto.

The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:

“In the facts and circumstances stated above, the petitioner humbly prays your Lordships to graciously be pleased to direct the Opposite Parties to release wages of the petitioner as a semi-skilled worker from March, 2022 till date at an early date in the interest of justice;

And further be pleased to pass any other order/orders as may be deemed fit and proper in the interest of the petitioner to give complete justice to petitioner.”

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that although the petitioner has filed representation dated 08.07.2022 under Annexure-8 before the Secretary, Rural Development Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.1 and

Engineer-in-Chief, Rural Works (Odisha), Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.2 the same is still pending before the said Opposite parties and the said Opposite Parties have not taken any decision as of now.

Considering the submissions made, the limited nature of grievance of the petitioner, this Court disposes of the writ petition at the stage of admission with a direction to the Secretary, Rural Development Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.1 and Engineer-in-Chief, Rural Works (Odisha), BhubaneswarOpposite Party No.2 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.07.2022 under Annexure-8 taking into accountAnnexures-6 and 7 in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order. In the event it is found that the petitioner is entitled to receive the monthly salary and wages, the same shall be sanctioned and disbursed in favour of him with the aforesaid time. It is needless to mention here that the representation of the petitioner shall be considered and disposed of by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Any decision so taken on the said representation shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation/direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
