Heard Mr. A. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite party no.3-District Legal Services Authority, Kandhamal, Phulbani to accept the application of the petitioner and reconsider his grievance for awarding appropriate compensation in favour of the petitioner by following the guidelines as provided under the scheme of Odisha and award a reasonable compensation.

Mr. A. Das, learned counsel for the petitioner contended that earlier though the petitioner had submitted the documents, the same have not been accepted. Therefore, the petitioner seeks liberty to file a fresh application along with an application for condonation of delay so that the same can be considered by the authority.

Considering the limited nature of grievance of the petitioner, this Court directs the petitioner to file a fresh application annexing all the documents along with an application for condonation of delay within a period of fifteen days from today ventilating his grievances before opposite party no.3. In the event the petitioner files such application along with authenticated copy of this

order annexing the documents and an application for condonation of delay, opposite party no.3- District Legal Services Authority, Kandhamal, Phulbani shall consider and pass appropriate order in accordance with law for award of victim compensation.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

As the restrictions are continuing for COVID-19, learned counsel for the petitioner may utilize the soft copy of this order available in the High Court’s Website or print out thereof at par with certified copies in the manner prescribed vide Court’s Notification No.4587 dated 25.3.2020.
