Heard Ms. Subhra Mohapatra, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Pattnaik, learned Additional Standing Counsel through video conferencing mode.
According to Ms. Mohapatra, though Mahuldiha P.S. Case No.24 was registered under Sections 363/302/34 I.P.C. on 18.06.2019 however, till date, the investigation with regard to the same remains inconclusive. In such background, she prays that a direction be issued to the investigating officer namely, the I.I.C., Mahuldiha P.S. (opposite party No.4) to complete the investigation within a specific time limit.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the I.I.C., Mahuldiha P.S. (opposite party No.4) to make all endeavours to complete the investigation in this year old case as expeditiously as possible in accordance with law, if there is no other impediment. Superintendent of Police, Mayurbhanj (opposite party No.3) is directed to monitor the same.
Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.
