Heard Mr. Jayadeba Behera, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.K. Nanda, learned Addl. Government Advocate.
The learned Addl. Government Advocate submits that in the meantime the victim girl has been rescued and her statement has been recorded by the jurisdictional magistrate. She has stated that she eloped with opposite party no.4-Sidhartha Pradhan and that she is not willing to go back to her parents’ house and therefore, the learned JMFC, Khandapada directed her to remain safe custody in Tapashya Seva Child Care and Institution, Nayagarh. Since the victim girl is rescued and she is willing to stay in safe custody of the Child Care and institution, the WPCRL has become infructuous and is disposed of.
As the period of COVID-19 is continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize the soft copy of this order available in the High Court’s website or print out thereof at par with certified copies in the manner prescribed, vide Court’s Notice No.4587, dated 25.03.2020.
