The petitioner has filed this application seeking direction to the opposite parties to appoint her as anganwadi helper in Badatilanchi Anganwadi Centre in Charadia Gram Panchayat under Chandbali ICDS Project as she has been duly selected by the Mahila Sabha and fulfilled all the criteria as per the guideline.
The petitioner has pleaded in the writ petition that she has possessed all the requisite qualification to be engaged as Anganwadi Helper and she has been duly selected by the competent authority as per the guidelines issued by the Government. But, due to her non-engagement as Anganwadi Helper, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present application.
On perusal of records, it appears that the selection committee has not properly scrutinized the selection of Anganwadi Helper of Badatilanchi Anganwadi Centre. The selection committee selected the opposite party No.4-Bandana Pradhan, who is illiterate. Therefore, the petitioner prays for quashing of the selection of the opposite party no.4 and to appoint the petitioner in her place.
As per the records available, it is found that selection of Anganwadi Helper, Mahila Sabha was held

at Bada Tilanchi Primary School on 03.12.2009 wherein six candidates name were considered. Since the Mahila Sabha could make the final selection, the candidates were called for interview at ICDS Project Office on 11.12.2009 and subsequently the interview was held on 14.12.2009 instead of 11.12.2009. In the said interview, the opposite party no.4-Smt. Bandana Pradhan secured 23 marks whereas the petitioner secured 17 marks. Therefore, the selection committee vide resolution dated 14.12.2009 selected the opposite party no.4- Smt.Bandana Pradhan, who had secured higher mark in the interview and gave her engagement order as Anganwadi Helper. The petitioner claims that she has got higher qualification of Class-VII plucked, but the same has been refuted.
In any case, since the opposite party No.4Bandana Pradhan has been continuing having secured higher marks in the selection process and, as such, the authority has passed the order by with due application of mind, this Court does not want to set aside the order impugned.
Accordingly, the writ petition merits no consideration and thus the same is dismissed.
