13.09.2017 An additional affidavit has been filed by the petitioner in Court today. The same be k
ept on record.
 Heard Mr. Jena, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Bose, learned Asst. Solicito
r General appearing for the State of Odisha.
 In this writ application, the prayer of the petitioner is to quash his transfer order
dated 23.8.2017 under Annexure-4 from Bhubaneswar to 29th Batallion. Learned counsel for the p
etitioner submits that the 29th Batallion is situated at Jabalpur in the State of Madhya Prade
sh.

 In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though highlight
ing his grievances, the petitioner has filed representation on 31.8.2017 under Annexure-8 befo
re opposite party No.2, the same is pending disposal till date. He further submits that pursua
nt to the transfer order under Annexure-4, the petitioner has not yet been relieved. Accordin
gly, he prays that necessary direction be given to opp. party No.2 to dispose of the said repr
esentation within a stipulated time period.
 Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of t
he case, this Court directs the opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the representation d
ated 31.8.2017 under Annexure-8 within a period of four weeks from the date of production of c
ertified copy of this order by passing a reasoned order in accordance with law. Till disposal
of the representation under Annexure-8, status quo, as on date, with regard to posting of the
petitioner shall be maintained.

 The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
 Issue urgent certified copy of this order on proper application.
