Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Sharma, learned Standing Counsel for
Transport Department.
In this writ application, the grievance of the petitioner relates to non-issuance of f
itness certificate of the vehicle bearing Registration No.ORB-0218.

During course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that liberty be g
ranted to him to file an application for renewal of fitness certificate before opposite party
no.3 and opposite party no.3 be directed to dispose of said application within a stipulated pe
riod.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of t
he case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to file an application before opposite pa
rty no.3 for renewal of fitness certificate as provided under law within a period of two weeks
along with a certified copy of this order. In the event, such an application is filed, the op
posite party no.3 is directed to dispose of said application within a period of two weeks from
the date of receipt of such application as per law.
The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
Issue urgent certified copy of this order on proper application.
