Heard Mr.Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Samal, learned Standing Coun
sel for School and Mass Education Department.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the late husband of the petitioner was
working as a peon in Sachindra Prasad High School, Barajadeuli in the district of Balasore. H
e further submits that the said school is an aided school receiving Block Grant. He further su
bmits that the husband of the petitioner while in service fell ill and passed away on 18.1.201
0. Thereafter, she was appointed pursuant to an interview against the post of peon vide letter
No.104 dated 23.2.2010. Accordingly, the petitioner joined in the said school on 24.2.2010.
However, till date, her services have not been approved nor arrear salary of her late husband
have been released in her favour. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that high
lighting all her grievances, the petitioner has filed a representation before opp. party No.1
on 26.11.2011, but the same is pending consideration. In such background, he prays that necess
ary direction be given to opp. party No.1 to dispose of the representation filed by the petiti
oner on 26.11.2011 within a stipulated time period.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of t
he case, this Court directs the opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the representation o
f the petitioner dated 26.11.2011 under Annexure-7 within a period of eight weeks from the dat
e of production of certified copy of this order by passing a reasoned order in accordance with
law. This Court further directs that while presenting the certified copy
of this order, the petitioner would do well to supply a copy of representation vide Annexure-7
for facilitating disposal of the same within the above noted time period.
The writ application is accordingly disposed of.
