ounsel for the State. This is an application under s
ection 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Angul P
.S. Case No. 242 of 2016 corresponding to G.R. Case No.654 of 2016 pending before the Court of
learned S.D.J.M., Angul for alleged commission of offences under sections 395/397 of the Indi
an Penal Code.
Learned counsel for the State has produced the case diary and submits
that the charge sheet has already been submitted under sections 395/397 of the Indian Penal Co
de and there are four criminal antecedents against the petitioner.
In view of the materials available on record, I am not inclined to rel
ease the petitioner on anticipatory bail.
Accordingly, the ABLAPL stands rejected.
The petitioner is at liberty to surrender before the Court below and m
ove for bail in the event of which the Magistrate shall consider the bail application in accor
dance with law.
