15.03.2016 In this writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for a direction to the oppo
site party nos.1 and 7 to consider their case for appointment/engagement as Computer Teachers
under the control of opposite party no.7 by disposing their representation dated 06.01.2014 vi
de Annexure-11 within a stipulated period.
The brief fact of the case of the petitioners is that the petitioners having r
equisite qualifications were appointed as Computer Teachers in different High Schools, U.G.M.E
. Schools and U.P. Schools by making individual agreement pursuant to the resolution dated 27.
09.2010 of the Government. While the petitioners are continuing as such, as some amount was mi
sappropriated, they were also debarred to get their legitimate salary. While the matter stood
thus, the Managing Director, Orissa Knowledge Corporation-opposite party no.7 issued an advert
isement vide Annexure-10 for selection of Computer Teachers without considering the case of th
e petitioners, for which the petitioners have filed a representation dated 06.01.2014 vide Ann
exure-11 before the Principal Secretary, School and Mass Education Department-opposite party n
o.1 which is pending consideration. Hence this writ petition.
In course of hearing, Mr. Behera, learned counsel for the petitioners submits
that a direction may be issued to the opposite party no.1 to dispose of the representation of
the petitioners.
Considering the innocuous prayer, this Court disposes of the writ petition wit
h a direction to the opposite party no.1 to dispose of the aforesaid representation of the pet
itioners in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of si
x weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. Till disposal of the re
presentation of the petitioners, they shall not be disengaged from their services.
