 02. 30.08.2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned
Additional Government Advocate.

 The petitioners are villagers of Village Satighat which was a part of old Gram
a Panchayat Ramchandrapur. Taking six villages from Ramchandrapur a new Panchayat was created
named Dumerpita, though the Block Level Committee and District Level Committee had proposed fo
r creation of Satighat Grama Panchayat consisting of the aforesaid six villages, Satighat bein
g the highest populated village. Such proposal was overturned by the State Level Committee wit
hout any rhyme and reason. The petitioners want that the new Panchayat should be named as Sati
ghat Grama Panchayat.

 Taking into consideration the limited grievance of the petitioners and without
 going into merit of the case, the petitioners are directed to file a detailed representation
along with a certified copy of this order and a copy of the writ petition containing all the A
nnexures before the Commissioner -cum- Secretary to the Government, Panchayati Raj Department
(Opposite Party No.1) within fifteen days from today.

 The Commissioner -cum- Secretary to the Government, Panchayati Raj Department
(Opposite Party No.1) is directed to consider the grievance of the petitioners within four mon
ths from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. If necessity arises, the petit
ioners and other concerned parties may be given opportunity of hearing in the matter and a rea
soned order in consonance with the guidelines of the Govt. be passed by the Commissioner -cum-
 Secretary to the Government, Panchayati Raj Department (Opposite Party No.1).

 The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

 Urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rules.

 A free copy of this order be supplied to the learned Addl. Government Advocate
 for compliance.
