¶2
18.04.2016 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.
The petitioner is in custody as an accused in S.T. Case No.55/97/124-2013 of 2013 on the
file of learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Khurda facing trial under Sections 395/109, I.
P.C. read with Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act.
¶3
Considering the submissions and the alleged nature of offence along with the criminal an
tecedents against the petitioner, I do not find any reason to grant the benefit of bail to the
petitioner. Accordingly, the bail application stands rejected.
However, since it is submitted that the trial of the case is at the concluding stage, le
arned trial court would do well to dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible preferably
within a period of two months hence.
