The methodology adopted is in conformity with established technical practice and regulatory standards. It is further submitted that, the allegation pertaining to discharge of petroleum products and the consequent contamination of groundwater is entirely unsubstantiated and unsupported by any credible or verifiable material. No inspection report, monitoring data, or adverse finding from any competent statutory authority has recorded or established the existence of leakage, seepage, or discharge from the underground storage tanks. In the absence of any documentary or technical evidence, such allegations remain speculative and conjectural. The assertion of an imminent or potential ecological threat lacks any factual foundation, as no conclusive technical study, environmental assessment, or expert report has indicated any environmental degradation or risk attributable to the installations in question. On the contrary, the competent regulatory authorities, 6 66 including the Pollution Control Board and the petroleum safety authorities, have conducted requisite inspections from time to time and have not reported any violation, noncompliance, or safety lapse on the part of the project proponent.
