The Tribunal by the Order dated 20.04.2026 had impose the cost of Rs. 10,000 upon the Member Secretary, PCB for not rendering proper assistance to the Tribunal. The said cost has not been deposited till now. Instead, IA No. 535/2026 has been filed by the counsel for the RespondentHimachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board (HP SPCB), for waiver of the cost. We have gone through the said application and we do not find any justification to allow the prayer for waiver, which is accordingly rejected.

Let the cost be deposited within two weeks.

No one is present on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1, 3, 4 and 5 that is the Chief Secretary of State of Himachal Pradesh and its authorities.

Hence, we require the respondent No. 3 to appear virtually on the next date of hearing and assist the Tribunal.

Mr. Atul Parmar Regional Officer, Baddi and Mr. Sandeep Legal Officer, HP SPCB have appeared virtually in terms of the order of the Tribunal dated 20.04.2026 and have given the assurance that in future there will be proper assistance by the HP SPCB.

In view of the above, the virtual appearance of the officers of the HP SPCB is exempted till further order.
