This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to freeze the Bank Account in the name of M/s R B Enterprise, Account No.3490200000590, Bank of Baroda, Zoo Road Tiniali, Parnil Complex, R G Baruah Road, Guwahati, Assam – 781 024 and, to get back petitioner’s investment amount of Rs.50,000/- by considering the petitioner’s representations dated 18.11.2025 and 27.11.2025.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) submitted that the petitioner lost a sum of Rs.71 Lakhs through online trading. The said amount was transferred to several persons account. In pursuant to the complaint, the sixth respondent registered FIR in Crime No.1 of 2026 for the offence punishable under Sections 318(4) of BNS and Section 66 (d) of the Information Technology Act. Pursuant to the registration of FIR, the sixth respondent issued necessary instructions to the concerned bankers to freeze the account in which the petitioner’s amount was transferred. Further, so far the sixth respondent retrieved a sum of Rs.59 Lakhs and transferred the

same to the petitioner’s account. For the remaining amount, they are taking steps to recover the same from the accounts where the amount was transferred.
