This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the

seventh respondent to grant adequate police protection to the petitioner and its constituents for establishing the textile industries within the integrated textile park over an extent of 235.564 acres of extent of land which has been leased out by SIPCOT in favour of the petitioner by lease deed dated 13.09.2006 and modified on 18.12.2012 and 23.09.2012 and quell the public agitation in the locality and ensure that there is no obstacles for the petitioner and its constituents to go ahead with the establishment of the industry in the industrial park.

2.Pending writ petition, Mr.AR M Arunachalam, learned counsel submits that the entire papers have been handed over to the petitioner long back. Even then, the petitioner did not engage any new counsel.

3.That apart, the prayer sought for in this writ petition is

direction directing the seventh respondent to grant police protection for establishing textile industries within the integrated textile park. Police protection can be granted only to the persons life and limb of the person. Therefore, the relief sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted.

4.This writ petition is dismissed. No costs.
