The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2^nd and 3^rd respondents to demarcate the petitioner’s property and simultaneously directing the 5^th respondent to provide adequate police protection to enable the petitioner to fence her property, by considering the application dated 29.10.2025 submitted by the petitioner to the 5^th respondent.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that although an initial survey of the property was conducted, the demarcation of boundaries has not been carried out till date. Challenging the inaction on the part of the 2^nd and 3^rd respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.

In response, Mr. B. Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel appearing for respondents 1 to 3, submitted that the demarcation of the subject property would be carried out within a stipulated time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the 2^nd and 3^rd respondents to demarcate the petitioner’s property and fix boundary stones after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the private respondents herein. It is made clear that in the event of any law and order issue or physical obstruction, the surveying authority shall be at liberty to seek the assistance of the 5^th respondent / jurisdictional Police. Upon receipt of such a request, the 5^th respondent Police shall provide necessary protection to ensure the peaceful completion of the survey and demarcation process. The

entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
