This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioners representation dated 04.02.2026 and rectify the error in the FMB Sketch with regard to the petitioner’s property.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner purchased a property measuring 40 cents (16.18 ares) in S.F. No. 160/9B, Agoor Village, Vallam Sub Division, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District, via a registered Sale Deed. However, the Field Measurement Book (FMB) sketch erroneously records the extent as 45 cents (18.21 ares). To rectify this discrepancy between the Sale Deed and the FMB sketch, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 04.02.2026 to respondents 1 to 4, requesting the extent be corrected from 45 cents to 40 cents. Since the respondents failed to take action, the petitioner has approached this Court.

In reply, Mr.B.Pachaiyappan, learned Government Counsel who takes

notice on behalf of the respondents would submit that the petitioner’s representation dated 04.02.2026 will be disposed of by the respondents within a period of four weeks.
