The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 420, 506(i) of IPC, in Crime No.17 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner had collected a sum of Rs.3,45,000/- from the defacto complainant for getting a job in TNPSC Group-II Service, and the petitioner failed to get a job and cheated the defacto complainant. Hence, the complaint.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with this crime and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner had repaid a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- and the balance amount of Rs.2,50,000/- yet to be paid. He would further submit that co-accused had already been arrested and thereafter he released on bail.
