2. According to the petitioner, she belongs to Most
Backward Community and hails from a poor family. She is studying B.Sc. Physics in Kailash Women's College, Tharamangalam, which is a self-financing Private College and that the nearest Government College is situated in Edappadi, which is more than 20 kms away from her residence. It is her case that unless the Government supports students like her with financial assistance by way of scholarship, she has no other option, but to discontinue her Degree course. In this regard, the petitioner sent a detailed representation dated 02.06.2016 to the respondents through Speed Post. Since no reply is forthcoming from the respondents, the petitioner is before this Court.
