This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to give Old Age Pension (OAP) to the petitioner with arrears of Pension from January 2016 to till date.

According to the petitioner, she is a widow and has been receiving Old Age Pension (OAP) from the Government through Gengavalli Taluk Office. It is her case that she is not receiving Old Age Pension after she shifted her residence to Karupur Village, Omalur Taluk. Though the Tahsildar, Gengavalli Taluk addressed a letter dated 29.01.2016 to the 2nd respondent herein to pay pension to the petitioner, as her name has been de-listed in Gengavalli Taluk, the same was not implemented by the 2nd respondent. Hence, citing her living condition, the petitioner made a representation dated 03.01.2017 to the respondents seeking Old Age Pension from January 2016 to till

date. Pending consideration of the said representation, the petitioner is before this Court.

Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the material documents available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2017 seeking payment of Old Age Pension from January 2016, in accordance with law and pass necessary orders on or before 28.02.2017.

This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
