JUDGMENT

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following

prayers:

"(i) Issue a writ of certiorari or other appropriate order or direction to quash Exts.P8 & P9.

¶20

(ii) To issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate order or direction to direct the Government to reconsider Ext.P8 & P9 in the light of the facts mentioned in the Writ Petition.

(iii) To issue a writ of mandamus or other appropriate order or direction to direct the first respondent to pass orders on Exts.P10 & P14."

Heard the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that Exts.P10 and P14 applications are pending with regard to the sanction of a new aided Arts and Science College by the Trust. It is stated that Ext.P10 is dated 26.03.2018 and Ext.P14 is dated 16.01.2019, but no steps have been taken thereon.

In the above view of the matter, there will be a direction to the 1^st respondent to take up, consider and pass appropriate orders on the request submitted by the petitioner for starting of an aided Arts and Science College. Appropriate decision shall be taken within a period of
