JUDGMENT

This writ petition is filed seeking expeditious disposal of the application pending before the Land Tribunal. It is submitted that the petitioner is the absolute possession and enjoyment of the property in Re-survey No.469 of Kulukkallur Village. The petitioner has submitted an application for issuance of purchase certificate and that a detailed report has already been submitted by the 2^nd respondent. It is submitted that the Land Tribunal is expected to consider the application preferred by the petitioner in accordance with seniority of registration of cases and that the matter has been pending for a long time. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Ext.P5 judgment has been issued by this Court directing consideration of such matters within a time frame and that similar directions may be issued in this case also.

The learned Government Pleader submits that this writ petition can also be disposed of in the light of the directions issued in Ext.P5 common judgment.

In the above view of the matter and in view of the fact that in the instant case, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a report has already been submitted by the 2^nd respondent, this writ petition is disposed with the following direction:-

The Land Tribunal is directed to dispose of the suo moto case registered as per Ext.P5, after considering the report submitted by the 2^nd respondent, within a maximum period of 18 months in terms of the guidelines issued by G.O. (P)No.09/2018/RD, dated 22.02.2018.

This writ petition is ordered accordingly.
